Say Goodbye to Lines and Wrinkles

If you’ve noticed the appearance of lines and wrinkles on your upper face, forehead, and around your eyes, you’re certainly not alone. How Do Neuromodulators Work?

We understand that life can get pretty busy. The more active we are, the more difficult it can feel to truly take care of ourselves. RESTOR is here to change all that. Our practice is both owned and operated by women, so we understand the unique needs that come along with an active and busy lifestyle.

As you utilize your facial muscles each day, their use causes the formation of lines and wrinkles in the skin that sits just above them. Neuromodulators address these “dynamic wrinkles” at their source by disrupting your muscles' ability to cause them in the first place.

By interrupting the nerve signals that make your muscles move, Dysport hits the “pause button” on the facial muscles that are causing your dynamic wrinkles. This effectively smooths over those that have already formed, while preventing the appearance of further lines and wrinkles in the future.

Dysport vs. BOTOX® & Xeomin®: What’s the Difference?

Dysport, Xeomin, and BOTOX are all neuromodulators that mostly work the same and produce the same results. However, since Dysport does not have the carrier proteins that BOTOX and Xeomin have (it is sometimes called “naked BOTOX”), it actually acts slightly faster. Results from your Dysport treatment will take shape over the course of three to five days, whereas Botox and Xeomin results become visible over the course of five to 10 days.

Dysport also gives our patients a slightly more “controlled” look, making it a better choice for patients with deeper lines, for those who metabolize BOTOX or Xeomin quickly, or for those who are particularly looking for a smoother look.
